How to Send Large File Attachments in GHL Conversations
Updated February 17, 2025
Sharing large files in GoHighLevel conversations used to mean manual compression or routing recipients to external services. This tutorial covers all three attachment methods — device uploads, media library links, and interactive video thumbnails — so your team can send files faster and more professionally.
Users can now easily upload large files directly from their devices, offering a higher degree of flexibility and convenience in file sharing. A key benefit of this feature is that it removes the need for complex workarounds. There’s no longer a need to compress files manually or depend on third-party file-sharing services. This makes the process quicker, more efficient, and simpler when sharing files.
Option 1: Automatic Media Library Uploads (Email and SMS Composer)
- Handling attachments is now simpler than ever. Thanks to our latest feature, users can easily upload large attachments directly from their devices. Additionally, all files sent via SMS or those larger than the 20MB email attachment limit will automatically be uploaded to the media library. These files will appear as media library links, streamlining the process and ensuring no files are missed.
Option 2: Attachment Choice
- With this feature, users now have the freedom to decide whether they want to upload attachments via their device or the media library.
Option 3: Interactive Video Thumbnails
- Emails should engage, captivate, and leave a lasting impact. That’s why we’ve gone a step further by automatically generating gif thumbnails for videos uploaded through the media library. This enhancement makes your emails more visually appealing, interactive, and engaging.
