The Cancellation & Reschedule Policy setting lets you specify the time frame in which customers can access the cancellation or reschedule link within the booking widget.
With this feature, you can establish a cutoff period after which the cancellation or rescheduling option is no longer available. Once this window closes, customers must contact the business directly to make any changes. This helps businesses minimize last-minute appointment modifications and maintain a more structured schedule.
How to use it?
Navigate to Calendar Settings and select the desired calendar.
Head to the Notifications and Additional Options section.
Under Cancellation and Reschedule Policy, turn on “Allow Cancellation of Meeting” and “Allow Rescheduling of Meeting”.
Specify the time range after which the links should be disabled. (Note: Keeping the value blank means the link will never expire and the booker can access it anytime.)
When this setting is enabled:
A cancellation and rescheduling link will be placed in the additional notes section and included in the calendar invite. These links will expire based on the configured settings, ensuring the booker can no longer cancel or reschedule the meeting.
How do bookers receive the cancellation & reschedule link?
When you enable “Allow Cancellation” and “Allow Reschedule,” corresponding links are automatically added to the additional notes section. This section is then included in the notes of the calendar invite, allowing bookers to easily cancel or reschedule their appointments as needed.
Alternatively, you can use the custom values {{reschedule_link}} and {{cancellation_link}} in your workflows to send out these links to the bookers.
