How to Set Workflow Folder Permissions in GoHighLevel

Updated April 9, 2024

Without proper access controls, critical workflows built inside GoHighLevel can be accidentally modified or deleted by unauthorised team members. This guide walks you through configuring folder permissions by user type and role to protect your automations on Agency Pro and higher plans.

Exclusive access to workflow folder permissions is a feature reserved solely for subscribers of the Agency Pro Plan and higher tiers.

Restrict access to any folder containing workflows with Folder Permissions

Folders enable the structuring of content, while workflows streamline task automation. Countless hours are dedicated to crafting meticulously refined workflows, making it imperative to guard against unauthorized alterations.

By configuring folder permissions, individuals lacking access are restricted from viewing, creating, or modifying any workflows housed within. Thus, if folder permissions are designated for agency administrators, solely users holding the agency admin role retain the ability to view, create, and modify workflows.

How-to Add Folder Permissions Within a Workflow Folder

Hover over or create a Workflow folder > Click on the “Actions” drop-down button  > Manage Permissions > Select User Type & Role who will have access to this folder and workflows.

Please Note:

Regardless of their folder permissions, all users will retain access to view the roster of workflows associated with a contact on the Contact Details Page. Additionally, users will possess the capability to include or exclude contacts from any workflow at their discretion.
