How to Set Up Verified Caller ID for Outbound Calls in GHL

Updated February 6, 2025

When making outbound calls through GoHighLevel, your clients or prospects may not recognise or trust an unfamiliar number — costing you answered calls and conversions. This guide walks you through verifying your own number and configuring it as the Caller ID for outbound voice calls in your GHL sub-account.

In certain situations, you may prefer to use your own phone number as the caller ID for voice calls. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up Verified Caller ID so you can display your number. Please note, this feature is available only for LC Phone users and is not supported for clients using personal Twilio accounts.

Step 1: At the top left, click here to switch to the sub-account where you want to set up verified caller ID

  • Click on the Click here to switch option and search for the sub-account where you want to set up verified caller ID Then, click on the sub-account.

Step 2: Once you are in the sub-account, click on Settings

Step 3: Click on Phone Numbers

Step 4: Click on Add Verified Caller ID Under Add Number Tab

Step 5: Verify your own phone number as New Caller ID

  • Enter your own phone number and click on Verify Number
  • Complete your number verification in two easy ways: enter the code from the pop-up, or answer the verification call and enter the code provided.  Your verified number will then appear in the Verified Caller ID tab.

Step 6: Select the Twilio Number under Phone Number Tab for which you want to use your phone number as caller ID.

  • Select the three dots next to the Twilio phone number under the Phone Number tab that you wish to set as your caller ID.
  • Click on Edit Configuration Option
  • Select Use your Verified Number as callerID for outbound calls option and choose the verified caller number and save it.
  • Once this setting is enabled. Now you can use your own phone number as a caller id for making calls.

Please Note

By default, each sub-account is restricted to 10 verified caller IDs to prevent misuse. If you need to increase this limit, please contact our support team.

Due to local regulations on domestic calls in India, effective from August 1, 2024, calls placed from +91 caller ID to +91 destination will not work.
