How to Resubscribe After Unsubscribing from a GHL Email List

Accidentally unsubscribing from an email list in GoHighLevel used to require a complex, multi-step process with no easy same-window fix. This guide walks you through using the new resubscribe link in the unsubscribe confirmation message to instantly restore a contact's opt-in status and remove them from the Do Not Disturb list.

Problem Statement:

In the past, rejoining our mailing list after unsubscribing was a complex process without a seamless, same-window option.

What We Did:

To resolve this, we’ve added a convenient resubscribe link right inside the unsubscribe confirmation message. If a user accidentally unsubscribes, they can effortlessly rejoin by clicking the link. This instantly restores their email, removing it from the Do Not Disturb (DND) list.

How to Test?

  1. Go to Email Marketing.
  2. Create and send a campaign to a dummy contact.
  3. Click the unsubscribe link in the email.
  4. Use the resubscribe link in the success message.

Users re-opting in may still appear under unsubscribed in campaign statistics. We are working to fix this.
